Fluff and Nonsense

Megan is a long time resident of m/m fiction, and keeps herself busy reading, writing, and publishing it. She is often accused of fluff and nonsense. When she's not involved in writing, she likes to cook, harass her cats, or watch movies (especially all things James Bond). She loves to hear from readers, and can be found all around the internet. maderr.com maderr.tumblr.com maderr.livejournal.com lessthanthreepress.com @amasour

The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories
Angela Carter, Marina Warner, Igor Karash
Joint Affair - J.T. Whitehall Could have done with less in your face campaigning, but a cute story.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane: A Novel - Neil Gaiman, Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman remains a fantastic writer, but weirdly I did not like this one as much as I liked previous works. Prose was beautiful, I will never be able to word the way this man does, but the story did not grab me as much. Still, definitely worth reading.
The Meetup - Kayci Morgan A cute little short :3
A Sinner Born - Avril Ashton
Yaaaay!! :D :D :D
Some Rules for Success in the Music Business - Mina MacLeod
This story does contain moments of incest and threesome, but the story is not ultimately either of those things. The incest is an issue addressed, not the end goal. If you're looking for a twincest threesome story, this is not it.
Beach Remedy - Sasha L. Miller
Sasha's half of the pair of stories we wrote. My story is [b:Herbal Remedy|17841218|Herbal Remedy|Megan Derr|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1366757227s/17841218.jpg|24967670]
Herbal Remedy - Megan Derr
My half of a pair of stories written by Sasha and me. Her story is [b:Beach Remedy|17841212|Beach Remedy|Sasha L. Miller|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1366756979s/17841212.jpg|24967653]
Lord of the Forest - Kay Berrisford
I am honestly not sure where to start with the flailing. As ever, I love the setting. The Greenwood continues to be a place full of shenanigans :3 I loved seeing Herne again, and the fairies always causing trouble. Greenwood sexing up their protector, always good times ;)

But it's call Robin and Cal I heart the most. I love this takes place after Robin's heyday, when he's a little lost and missing his friends, lonely and sad and in desperate need of hugs. And Cal, what a poor baby. I wanted to shake them both every single time they misunderstood each other. My heart broke when Cal kept getting snubbed, and was scared to try again.

I am not very good at words today, editing has totally eaten my brain, but I am totally in love with this story and went to bed smiling after I finished it. Definitely my favorite Robin Hood retelling, for being both extremely well done and something completely different from all the other versions I have read. I will fangirl Kay Berrisford until I keel over.
Dracones - S.L. Armstrong, Avery Vanderlyle, D.K. Jernigan, E.R. Karr, E.E. Ottoman, Lor Rose, Megan Derr, Tam Ames
My story is Lukos Heat. I can't wait to read the others! :D
The Green-Eyed Monster - Melanie Tushmore
An awesome story about a band as they go from nothing to famous. The details of this story make it, it really was a lot of fun to see them progress through the years. Loved loved the characters, even when they were being ridiculously stupid and needed to be smacked :3 Loved it loved it!
Backwoods Asylum - Megan Derr Ridiculously cute and fluffy story. Beware of cavities :3
Wolfsbane - K.C. Burn
The jarring head hoping is driving me crazy and makes everything really confusing. Don't feel like putting up with it for another 250-some pages.
The Competitive Edge - Talya Andor
The second Appetite book in Talya's awesome series. Editing these books is stupid fun. If you're a fan of cooking shows, you will freaking love this book.
Tatterdemalion (Foundations of Magic, #1) - Anah Crow, Dianne Fox This book just isn't grabbing me. I made it about halfway through and am just stopping. I don't hate it, but I don't love it as much as I normally do with these authors. They're one of my fav pairs. I may just not be in the mood for it. Definitely not an awful book by any stretch, but for some reason I never quite get into it. May try again later, we shall see.
Goldilocks and his Three Bears - A. M. Riley
The characters were cute, but halfway through I just started skimming/skipping the smut which sadly meant there wasn't much left to read. Did like how they all came together, how you've got two couples and the whole group.
Illusion of Night - C.J. Black I was really trying to finish, but more and more kept bothering me. Finally just stopped.
